Car Dealers Using a Ning Network Site for Content Distribution and Syndication
The first thing you want to do is follow the instructions in the Ning Admin section to hook up the integration between your Ning Network and your dealership Facebook pages, Flickr account and Twitter profiles... It is a lot of work and time consuming to initially set up, which is why many dealers pay professionals to do it for them, but you CAN DO IT!
After setting up the real time integration between these first 3 social media platforms, I recommend you use Knowem.com to set up 150 social media accounts based on your dealership's most popular name likely to be used in a search query as the Knowem User Name. The user name becomes the domain names for each of these accounts. Once you have access to these accounts, then you start with the "Latest Activity" RSS feed and hunt down where you can insert RSS feeds into each of those 150 social media accounts. This can be quite tricky because each social network site puts their field for inserting RSS feeds in different places and some seem to hide them from all but expert users.

Shown above is an example of a "Syndication Widget" that I highly recommend using on a widespread basis to showcase new models, used vehicles, special sale events and anything else you want to rpomote for your dealership. To create the HTML widget code for an automatically updated slide show like the one I inserted above, you create a "Featured Photos" photo album slideshow within your Ning Network and then click the "Share" menu button to generate the widget embed code. Copy that HTML code and "paste" in into blogs and profiles to post the application widget into each of the 150 social media networks set up for your dealership by Knowem. You can see the social media accounts I have personally claimed using Knowem at http://knowem.com/ralphpaglia
The Ning Networks have dozens of outbound syndication widgets and RSS feeds, one of my favorites is the "Featured Videos" RSS feed which when set up properly will display each of between 5 and 20 of the most recent featured video descriptions and a thumbnail image of the video itself. When this is set up across 150 social networks and you keep plenty of fresh videos loaded and featured inside your Ning Network, it is a compelling and traffic generating strategy. You can see an example right now; I have inserted the "Featured Videos from ADM Professional Community" RSS feed on the right side of this page, below the "Badge" and "Events" sections on the far right column of www.NinjaDealer.com...
I want to emphasize that the objective is to set up these integration and content syndication points within as many social media networks as possible in such a manner as to set it once and then manage the content from one place... Your Ning Network! The idea is to multiply the content you generate or create through your Ning Network a hundred times over when it becomes part of the automated updates of feeds and widgets across the network you or your marketing services provider has created.
Here are a few examples of dealer created Ning Networks that feed a steady supply of content out to their many social network accounts, profiles, blogs and pages:
